The challenge of employment has always been serious, especially recently in Korea. Young people have difficulty getting a job, while middle-aged people face a push for retirement. This essay will suggest the root of this problem and suggest possible solutions.
One of the worst things is that this makes premature retirement of workers 50 years old. They don't want to lose their job and most of them aren't ready for life without work. With limited pensions, they need a source of income. In this situation, people should consider launching their own business with a risk or clinging to their current position in fear of unemployment.
The reason why companies don't prefer older workders is largely economic. As the older the most workers are, the more expensive the salary is, company may choose pushing them out in a specifically bad economic situation. Furthermore, As the IT industry or technology has developed, companies don't depend on older employees as they did in digital environments.
The government should intervene to protect its residents from unstable lives, loss of confidence, and mental problems. If they make good quality job opportunities, expand re-education for older workers, and fix pension systems, there are likehoods of improve.
