In case of my company, the regular work time is 8hours a day from 9 am to 6 pm, 40hours a week and around 160hours a month. As I know most manufacturing industries are requested to meet a deadline. At first, we plan a production schedule after discussing it with our customers. But they don’t want to give us a extra time as much as we can try again when problems are happened at some process. Because the time is money and loss to them. So we are always pressed for time during the production. In every new project, there are not without any problems at first. In my case, I have been up all night for work at least once more each project so far. In result, the longest over time I’ve had was for 14hour just a day after 7 pm. FYI, I had recorded the longest over time for 100hour over a month. |
